Lisa established On The Spot Dog Training LLC in Springfield, MO in 2002 to help owners overcome their dogs frustrating and humiliating behaviors. She is sought after as a trainer because of her loving, caring attitude towards both people and dogs along with her gentle, yet firm and effective training methods. With 25+ years of experience, Lisa has successfully trained 1000’s of dogs.

Growing up around animals on my grandparent’s farm, I learned a lot about how to care for and to train dogs, horses, cattle and other animals on the farm. From this grew my love for dogs. When I got my second American Eskimo, I realized I needed to further my knowledge and decided to become a trainer. At that time, I was introduce to positive reinforcement and clicker training, which changed the way that I train my dogs and now client’s dogs. I am a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI) through Do More with Your Dog and AKC CGC Evaluator. I became part of the On The Spot team in 2016.
I have two fur kids. An American Eskimo “Snowball”, who has earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen, Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Trick Dog Titles, is a retired pet therapy dog and has earned her Novice Title in Barn Hunt. Second is my Bi-Black Sheltie “Kyla Jo”, who has earned her STAR Puppy Certificate, Novice Trick Dog Title and participates in Agility.

After successfully overcoming behavior obstacles with her own dogs by training with On The Spot, Holly decided she wanted to help other families have a happy and loving relationship with their furry friends too. After being a student with On the Spot Dog Training and loving everything the organization stood for, she was brought the opportunity to further her love for training by joining the team. Though she had a love for dog behavior, she lacked formal training. On The Spot Dog Training welcomed her with open arms and gave her all the tools and resources necessary to become the best dog trainer she could be and to continue her education.
Along with dog training, Holly enjoys spending time with her two dogs Dex and Maya. Dex is a beautiful 2 year old golden shepherd rescue pup found living off the streets. He was taken in and now has his Canine Good Citizenship. Maya is a spunky 1 year old doberman mix adopted from a pound based out of Buffalo. She has achieved the level one and level two certificates with On the Spot. Holly and her little four legged family enjoy long walks and car rides with the windows down!
